The above graph shows that inventory levels of available single family homes have improved in recent months.

It's important to note, however, that inventory is still much lower than at this time last year, when it was struggling to keep up with demand even then.


Buyer sentiment has continued at truly amazing levels, so even though there's a little bit more in the way of choice right now, compared with earlier in the year, it's still insufficient, with barely a month of supply in our local market right now.


More homes on the market is obviously a huge plus for all buyers. But it actually also works in favor of sellers, as the more choice is limited, the bigger the potential disincentive for buyers, many of whom have been trying to secure the right property for some time. A better selection of homes can bring more buyers to market!
